Several rust removers can cause severe
health or environmental hazards
There are two basic methods of rust removal - mechanical and chemical.
The method used depends upon the type of structure, its location, the kind and severity of corrosion. Mechanical methods of corrosion removal are more common, including abrasive mat, abrasive paper, powered mechanical sanding, buffing, grinding, shot blasting, etc. Chemical methods of rust removal are only applicable on light corrosion and used where the chemicals cannot migrate to other areas.
Removing surface rust from surfaces improves the appearance, but its importance goes well beyond the aesthetics. Rust, left unchecked, can lead to pitting and structural damage to products and components. Rust Corrosion protection can impact the performance of the equipment, contaminate flow paths which in turn obstruct the flow of liquid or gas in the pipes, thus reducing the overall efficiency and impact reliability.
RUST REVENGE
neutral pH and VOC & HAP free
Soak time recommended is
between 30 minutes to 24 hours
Rust removal from the surface of the metal part gives:
RUST REVENGE makes life easy by enabling effective rust removal with lower labour cost, low retraining cost and low preparations requirement. This non-corrosive liquid is safe on multi-metals and seals. It is emerging as a preferred rust remover across several industries because of its non-hazardous nature (VOC & HAP free) with a neutral pH
How to prepare for rust removal?
Clean and rinse the part before de-rusting. RUST REVENGE contains a surfactant to remove dirt, oil, and some greases, but if those are in excess, the rust removal may not be ideal.
How to use rust remover?
Immerse the rusted part in the RUST REVENGE ready to use solution. The time recommended is 30 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the severity of rust, type of steel and temperature. Check progress after the first 30 minutes and so forth. Sometimes, the colour of the metal may change to a much darker shade. However, the properties of the metal will remain unaltered.
What to do after rust removal?
Dry the part after taking it out from the bath. Apply Daubert rust preventive oil and/or pack in Daubert VCI for intermediate to long-term rust protection.
